About Us
Thinking back to childhood, one of our favourite past times was playing baseball in the backyard of our family home with siblings and neighbourhood kids. Our crab apple tree, a landmark of its own at one time, produced some of the best "baseballs" that one could ask for. Who could have imagined that all these years later, we would find ourselves exploring the science and craftsmanship of apple cider?
Like many new ventures, our journey started with an idea to revitalize old farmland and many unknowns. Our newfound passion and focus on quality drives us to improve our art and craft Cape Breton's finest ciders.
In 2017, we planted our first 500 apple trees on a picturesque hillside, carefully selecting heritage and modern varieties known for their complex flavors and excellent juice qualities. Year by year, we expanded our orchard, adding new varieties of apples and introducing pear trees to diversify our offerings. Today, our orchard boasts over 4,000 trees spanning multiple varieties, with approximately 1,500 new trees being planted annually as part of our ongoing growth.
In 2020, we completed construction of our state-of-the-art production facility, where we use both traditional methods and modern technology to craft our premium beverages. Our commitment to quality has remained unwavering throughout our journey, as we continue to honor the natural flavors of our carefully grown fruit.
